Wild Beauty Award 2006

“Green Is In” Has Been Awarded as Campaign of the Year in Montenegro – Activities Go On

The National Tourist Organization of Montenegro has given its yearly Wild Beauty Award for best campaign in Montenegro to Centre for Cultural and Information Development “Most” and its campagn “Green Is In” „Zeleno je IN“, for high dedication to quality, innovative promotion methors, high standards and responsible contribution to tourism in Montenegro
This campaign has been supported by WWF, the World Wildlife Fund, and it included various activities like erection of specially designed info boards, , a voluntary activity “Organic Is In” and a massive public action “Ecological Means European” with signing a petition in all towns of Montenegro. The campaign has been supported by over 60 NGOs and more than 4,000 citizens of Montenegro. The demands of campaign are to stop excessive logging and illegal construction, to increase the territory of protected areas, to solve pending environmental problems and to base the country’s development on the principles of sustainable development and the guidelines of the Declaration of Ecological State of Montenegro.
The campaign will continue in 2007 through other activities.
